Tendon Salamander 10.2mm
The Tendon Salamander 10.2mm is a lightweight, highly static, low-stretch rope that floats and features Tendon's Secure technology. It offers excellent knotability even after repeated use in wet conditions, retaining its softness and enhanced water resistance. Due to its construction, the Tendon Salamander maintains its user-friendly properties over time, with materials that help minimize rope shrinkage in wet environments.
Ropes made with Tendon's Secure technology have a four-layer structure: a parallel core, a braided core, a braided intermediate sheath, and a braided SBS sheath, the only visible layer. All layers are made of polyamide, with the intermediate sheath using staple fibers. The rope preserves its original shape during use and works seamlessly with various belaying devices. This technology significantly reduces sheath slippage. Both the materials and the technology enhance the rope's mechanical resistance.
The rope's parameters are optimized for excellent flexibility, compactness, and durability, making it easy to tie and untie knots. Thanks to its unique sandwich-type construction of braided layers and specially developed staple fibers, the static rope can hold a suspended load even if the sheath or core is significantly damaged, preventing complete failure of the rope.
