PPE Awareness for Managers
This one-day course is aimed at managers working in the leisure, training, construction or outdoor industry including team leaders, operational managers and departmental managers who look after a team of PPE inspectors but are ultimately responsible for the team, the equipment, its safe use, record keeping and maintaining the site SOP’s.
The course has been designed to help managers understand their roles and responsibilities and how they can best support their teams to maintain a safe system of work that is compliant, effective and efficient.
The course is theory based in the form of lectures and group discussions.
Upon completion of the course students will have a working knowledge of the following:
- PPE legislative requirements
- Their role as a line manager and the role of a ‘competent person’
- Types of PPE
- PPE Selection
- PPE Provision
- Maintenance of PPE
- Best practice with regards to storage of PPE
Location
Our open courses are delivered from our facility in North Wales, but we can deliver closed courses to specific users either at our facility or at a venue of your choosing.
