Harken Origin TT
The Harken Origin TT multi-purpose rigging plate enhances the rigging and performance of Twin-Tensioned Rope Systems (TTRS). Unlike traditional rigging plates that use a single bolt to mount two adjacent devices, the Origin TT features two quick-release locking pins. This allows for independent adjustments to either of the two devices managing the ropes, while keeping the other securely tensioned. The setup is also easier. On the raising/lowering side, the Origin TT connects seamlessly with the Harken Clutch and similar devices from other manufacturers, eliminating the need for carabiners and reducing the overall system length.
There are five attachment points on the anchor side. By removing carabiners, the system reduces unnecessary movement that can disrupt coordination between the two lowering devices, keeping them aligned and adjacent. This improves the synchronized precision of dual-handled operations, known as “Sharkfinning,” where the Origin TT excels. It enables both devices to lower at the same pace, minimizing any jerking motions for those on the line. The connected devices also stay better synchronized during hauls, making the process more efficient.
