MoG Abseil Rappel Glove

Master of Gloves mission is to create gloves for those who protect civilians in everyday or severe and even life-threatening circumstances. They develop customized gloves for the armed forces, law enforcement,  fire brigades and rescue teams - professional users who need functionality, quality, personal safety and wearing comfort.

The MoG Abseil Rappel Glove is a tactile, slim fit rope glove with touch screen compatible fingers; it combines three key elements that are crucial when handling ropes: high dexterity, high durability and excellent grip.

The glove is tested and certified to EN 388:2019 (Mechanical Risk Protection) and EN 407:2020 (Protection against Thermal Risk). It has been designed to offer very good abrasion resistance which is critical to the gloves offering long term protection – the glove achieved level 4 in EN388 testing (over 8000 cycles in the Martindale test). This is more than 10-15 times that achieved by comparable gloves.

This MoG glove has a split leather palm that provides excellent grip on both dry and wet ropes and is a great buffer against heat accumulation during rappelling. The back of hand uses a breathable 4-way stretch nylon fabric that offers comfort and a neoprene reinforcement on the knuckles that provides addition protection from impacts. The fit has been deliberately designed to be slim in order to provide extremely high finger sensitivity for handling ropes, weapons, radios and equipment.

There is reinforcement of critical areas on/between thumb and index finger for extra durability whilst strategically placed stitching lines at key flex point ensures higher dexterity. The gloves are secured on the hand with a broad Velcro closure that will still be effective after long term use and in poor conditions.

The gloves have a conductive leather on the index fingers and thumbs so that touchscreen devices can be operated without removing the gloves.

There is an opening for attaching the gloves to a carabiner for attaching to harness or belt.

A nose-wipe on the back of thumb allows users to wipe off sweat or rain from goggles or visors.
