Extrema Ratio Ant Rescue Red Stone Washed
The Ant is the smallest folding knife in the Extrema Ratio collection, designed to deliver exceptional strength and dependability despite its compact size. Its handle combines anodized anticorodal aluminum for the grip with a tempered steel frame that secures the blade using a Frame Lock System. This system works by bending part of the frame inward to lock the blade firmly in place, ensuring safe and stable use.
A lanyard slot is integrated into the shank, while the handle's right side features a steel clip for discreet pocket storage.
Constructed from Böhler M390 steel and hardened to 61 HRC, the blade offers outstanding sharpness, wear resistance, and protection against corrosion, thanks to cutting-edge powder metallurgy. The sheepsfoot blade design includes a small opening slot on the spine for easier deployment. Its straight edge and flat spine allow users to apply pressure with their fingers, ensuring a controlled and smooth cutting experience.
The Ant Rescue edition stands out with a bright red grip for easy identification if dropped. It is specifically designed with serrations to cut through ropes and tough materials like aramids. This version also features a tapered shank that doubles as an emergency screwdriver. These practical enhancements have earned the Ant Rescue a place in the equipment of the Alpine Troop School of the Italian Army.
