The Ferno 418 Adjustable Lifting Bridle, featuring color-coded webbing, is designed to link a basket stretcher to a rope hoist, cable, or other lifting devices. It is compatible with Ferno® Models 71, 71-S, and 71-SS Basket Stretchers.

 

The bridle's central section divides into two branches made of 1 3/4 inch (44 mm) webbing. Each branch ends in a "V" ring assembly that serves two purposes: it allows for adjusting the branch length and provides an attachment point for two legs of one-inch (25 mm) webbing. The legs attached to one branch are orange, while those on the other branch are gray. For horizontal lifting, connect the orange legs to the grommets on opposite sides of one end of the stretcher, and the gray legs to the grommets on opposite sides of the other end.

 

Adjusting the length of a branch changes the height at the stretcher's end attached to that branch. Each branch can be shortened by up to 11 inches (279 mm).
