Certified to both the EN 362:2004 Connectors and EN 354:2010 Lanyards standards both the quick release and the lanyard are rated at 22kN.

 

The quick release will still release when loaded with 150kg (330lbs). It is certified against EN 362 standard which is the European standard for locking connectors with an exemption for having to automatically close as closure is manual. The quick release has a dual action release mechanism for safety – move the red safety button to the unlocked position and then squeeze both triggers simultaneously to open the connector. These operations can be done by touch and in gloves.

 

There are three lengths available which adjustable from 40cm to 1.50m, or 2.00m or 2.50m depending on the version. These allow operators with on-board functions such as winchman or gunner to position themselves securely and precisely in the aircraft. 

 

The lanyard constructed from 25mm webbing with an adjustable buckle, Quick Release Device connector and automatic locking carabiner. Fine tuning the length of the lanyard is intuitive with the adjustment buckle release tab using orange tape for visibility even in low light.
