Crafting solutions to navigate any terrain, break any barrier or ascend any obstacle.

Our Purpose

Helix Operations believes tactical operators, military personnel, and high-risk volunteers deserve to:

  • Navigate any environment safely and efficiently
  • Operate with uncompromising, specialist-grade, certified equipment
  • Train in realistic, complex scenarios to build confidence
  • Access high-quality, repeatable training environments that enhance mission success.

Knowledge Driven Innovation Process

We collaborate closely with specialised units, continuously gathering feedback and conducting in-field testing to create tailored packages, training, and products. Our end-user focused approach has established Helix Operations as the trusted brand for task-specific operational solutions for the UK MOD and other NATO friendly forces.

Our purpose keeps us evolving, as we now offer Method of Entry training, products and Training Infrastructure as a natural progression. This success is made possible by a team of highly skilled professionals, with backgrounds in elite organizations such as the Royal Marines Mountain Leaders, the Specialist Boat Service, UK Rescue Teams and more. Their extensive knowledge and experience allow us to shape innovations in our core capabilities.

Our Heritage

Our heritage traces its origins to DMM International who developed a global reputation as a leading manufacturer of superior height safety equipment to military and government institutions for over thirty years. Though to truly deliver on our purpose, there was an apparent need for a dedicated team to focus solely on serving tactical operators, military personnel and rescue teams with solutions for their unique needs, and as such Helix Operations was formed.

Our North Wales backdrop forms the context in which Helix Operations was created. It is a historic home for British mountain training, including elite units like the Royal Marines Mountain Leaders and Mountain Rescue Teams. The unforgiving weather, dramatic and rugged terrain attracts some of the best mountaineers, climbers, and rescue experts in the world. This landscape is part of our DNA which allows us to test, improve and innovate our solutions.

Core Capabilities

Verticality

We’ve grown exponentially over the years, as we have developed closer relationships with units. Our core range of Helix own products focuses on quick deploy quickly, minimised weight, silhouette and noise whilst working with standard issue kit. This can be applied across a myriad of contexts, such as urban, mountain, maritime and rescue which sits within the verticality category.

Verticality
Method of Entry

As our purpose dictates, moving through barriers has led onto Method of Entry as another key offering, with a host tools, manual and hydraulic, as well as training doors, and courses.

Method of Entry
Training

Being able to share knowledge which empowers our end-users is vital. Our Training capability we provide includes bespoke and externally accredited training programs that take best practices from industry and incorporate them into programs that work in operational environments. Each course is tailored to meet unique needs, ensuring relevant core skills and techniques for interoperability between organisations.
