The HD Helo Personal Retention Lanyard is designed for use as a personal retention lanyard in a helicopter, with a heavy duty snap shackle which allows easier release whilst under a full 300 lb load. 

 

An all-black, non-reflective, oxide plated quick release shackle made of stainless steel is used to allow the user to easily release from the harness or belt, in the event of an unplanned landing. Velcro is used to secure the release tab in place, which lessens the chance of inadvertent release. A swedged release pin eliminates the plunger pin from releasing if the retaining ring is broken. 

 

Built with 4000lb. mil spec 5625 tubular webbing. Lanyard rated strength 3400 lbf. (15kN). The Kong Tango double locking snap hook is classified to meet NFPA 1983/2006 edition standards. Strength 7425 lbf. (33kN). 

 

The lanyard comes with the Yates Screamer Shock Absorber which provides additional energy absorption. The Screamer Shock Absorber can absorb 2.3kN of energy (when fully activated at 11 inches) in the event of an activation force of 2.5kN during a fall.
