The Helix Climbing Bandolier: Redefining Gear Management for Tactical Climbing

Tactical climbing operations require specialised gear.

Traditional climbing protection creates considerable noise; any recreational trad climber will be familiar with the tell-tale clang of hex or tourque nuts at the crag.

Tactical climbers face a unique challenge: when the objective is to move over technical terrain unnoticed, carrying the essential equipment needed for safe climbing is difficult. Avoiding the noise can slow climbers down and make switching leaders harder.

A purpose-built solution

So how do tactical climbers move stealthily? This is where the helix climbing bandoleer comes in  Using a fully removable modular bag system, the helix climbing bandoleer muffles noisy metallic gear whilst keeping gear organised and accessible, to be deployed easily when needed.

The Bandolier also speeds up the leader handover since gear is stored off the harness. The carry strap conceals and protects a DMM 60cm Dyneema, which can be used as an anchor sling. The shoulder strap can be incorporated into the anchor to protect the sling preventing wear and increasing service life.

An XSRE carabiner with captive bar connects the sling and strap to the bandolier, while a DMM Phantom HMS carabiner on the opposite side provides additional connection options when the strap is deployed as an anchor.

A quick-adjust buckle ensures a comfortable fit over layers or packs, while four gear loops and modular attachment points keep equipment organised and quiet. Lightweight, efficient, and purpose-built for lead climbers, the Helix Climbing Bandolier delivers a streamlined way to carry, deploy, and manage essential gear on any route.

Purpose-Built Performance for Tactical Climbers

In environments where silence, efficiency, and reliability are non-negotiable, the Helix Climbing Bandolier offers a practical edge. By reducing noise, improving organisation, and streamlining gear transitions, it enables tactical climbers to move with greater confidence and discretion across complex terrain. Purpose-built for demanding operations, it ensures that essential protection remains accessible, dependable, and quiet—so climbers can stay focused on the mission, not their equipment.
