In detail

Protec 500 is a CE EN1891 Type A certified 11mm low stretch kernmantle rope with a 100% Technora® para-aramid sheath and a nylon core. The Technora sheath provide protection again cutting from sharp edge or broken glass along with a high level of resistance to heat damage.

The sheath also contains a small proportion of nylon braids in a contrasting colour that will melt or fuse if exposed to temperatures over 250°c (482°F), providing visual and tactile evidence of high temperature exposure.
