We have designed this course after feedback from students on our PPE Inspectors Course. It is designed for those working in the industry who don’t routinely inspect PPE as part of their everyday role, but would benefit from a greater awareness of PPE.

This course can be run as a closed course for a group from the same organisation. If there are any site specific items of kit you would like the training to focus on, then please get in touch prior to the course to see if this can be facilitated.  

This course is an awareness course only; therefore no formal examination takes place. Students will receive an attendance 'certificate upon completion of the course. 

Our modest instructor to student ratio ensures that all delegates receive the highest quality instruction throughout the course with the opportunity for discussions and focusing on points that maybe less familiar.

Course information

The course will cover in brief:

  • An overview of legislations in relation to working at height equipment and the suitability of kit.
  • Practical skills of inspecting a range of kit and relevant management systems.
  • Understanding of different material used in PPE and what to look for.

As well as externally accredited courses, we also deliver bespoke training packages on request for when operational needs are not met by the more conventional course listing.

We can offer these at different, tiered skill levels and course duration and location. We place a lot of emphasis on the ability of the operators to train safely whilst ensuring that they are able to identify which pieces of equipment they would have operationally, and which is there to ensure training is managed safely. This allows us to reduce the training burden and ensure we don’t transfer risk from training into operations.

Our experienced training team are able to offer bespoke rope courses in Urban, Maritime and Mountain environments and can offer ongoing support via CPD days that fit the needs of end users.

Booking Conditions:

  1. All course fees are exclusive of VAT.
  2. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a place.
  3. Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Credit Card, the client or payee is responsible for any charges associated with the chosen payment method.
  4. Following an initial quote (which is valid for one month), dates will be set for the training delivery.
  5. Dates are not secured until payment has been made. 

Cancellation by the Client:

  1. Any cancellations should be notified to Helix Operations by telephone initially and followed up by a letter or an email, we will confirm your written cancellation on receipt of the letter or email.
  2. Cancellations more than 6 weeks prior to the course date will incur a £30 administration fee.
  3. Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the course date will be liable for 50% of the full fee.
  4. Cancellations made within 3 weeks of the course date will be liable for 100% of the full fee.

 Cancellation by Helix Operations:

Helix Operations will endeavor to deliver all courses as planned, however if due to operational reasons we must cancel the course you will be offered either a full refund of the course costs paid to Helix Operations Ltd or alternate dates at a mutually convenient time.

Accommodation and Transport:

Unless accommodation is included on the Invoice then you have booked a non-residential course. If non- residential then students are responsible for finding their own accommodation and transport to and from the office each day. Helix can provide recommendations on a case-by-case basis.
