The SULU X delivers smooth, controlled descent and is designed for operators who may need to descend quickly and safely under pressure. Designed for use with ropes from Ø 6 – 10.2 mm, it offers exceptional versatility across a wide range of operational scenarios.
Unlike many descenders used in tactical environments that are adapted from industrial rope access devices, the SULU X was developed specifically for tactical end users. It is optimised for smaller diameter ropes while maintaining compatibility with larger diameter ropes, giving operators greater flexibility when selecting equipment for different missions and training requirements.
The SULU X combines extremely fast descent capability with high levels of control and automatic locking. Its smooth handling allows effective one-handed operation, while also providing rapid belay capability and ascender functionality. In addition to personal descent, the SULU X can be configured as a rope control device at the anchor for raising and lowering personnel or loads, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of tactical and rescue applications. An additional opening lock is incorporated to support training and instructional use.
