In detail

The Edelrid Interstatic rope braids aramid fibres into the sheath to give increased cut resistance in a rope that still handles well and goes through rope controllers very smoothly – it is an ideal choice for tasks when the rope could be exposed to sharp edges.  The high-strength aramid fibres that are integrated into the rope sheath during the braiding process double the cut resistance compared to a static rope with a comparable sheath proportion and diameter without the aramid fibres in the sheath.  

The Interstatic Protect also uses the Edelrid Thermo Shield, which is a specialised thermal treatment that aligns core and sheath fibres for enhanced suppleness, smooth handling and good knotability.

The rope includes ID Tracer Threads, which are distinctive tracer threads embedded in the sheath that help instantly verify the rope’s 11 mm diameter, streamlining rope selection and safety checks.
