Delta Tactical Ladder (DTL)

A unique assault tactical ladder system, manufactured by Delta Tactical in the USA and sold exclusively by Helix Operations into key territories, where the carbon fibre ladder rungs form an integrated extension pole.

Type: 10ft
Colour: Black

In detail

The Delta Tactical Ladder (DTL) is a lightweight ladder and pole system designed for urban access and boarding operations. Carbon fibre rungs slot together to form an extension pole capable of placing a Helix Urban Hook. Once positioned, a pull release deploys the ladder for climbing.

The system is designed to be carried in a compact package while still providing the reach required for first-floor access, balcony movement, and diagonal platform transitions in urban environments. Multiple DTL systems can also be connected to increase overall climbing height, with recommended free-hanging use up to 8.5m / 28ft.

The low weight and compact profile also make the DTL suitable for maritime boarding operations where space and equipment load are limited.

The standard system is supplied with a Helix Urban Hook and Ghost Carabiner to provide hook placement and ladder deployment capability within a single setup.

The DTL uses braided Kevlar para-aramid rope combined with carbon fibre rungs to reduce weight while maintaining a tensile strength of 9500lbs / 4000kg. The 3.0m / 10ft system weighs 1kg / 2.2lbs, while the 4.9m / 16ft system weighs 1.34kg / 3lbs.

Designed by a former Delta operator, the system was developed around access challenges encountered during operational use.

System Overview:
• 6mm 12-strand braided Kevlar rope
• Carbon fibre rungs
• Helix Urban Hook
• DMM Ghost / DMM Ultra O Carabiner

Features

The steps/rungs are made to easily fit within the next step/rung which creates a stiff pole technique with a single hook on the end to deploy up to 16ft with one ladder.

Once the hook is secure, a gentle tug releases the steps/rungs to create the ladder itself. The DTL is easy to deploy and climb.

The DTL’s overall tensile strength exceeds 5000lbs/2200kg allowing the end user to customize the ladder system to best fit the scenario and objective.

Customizable options include but are not limited to custom hook, carabiner, grip tape, illuminous tape and/or glint tape.
To enable the DTL system to be used in other situations there are other variations/add-ons available such as a Floatation option for waterborne operations and Glint tape which can be
added to the rope in order to provide more visibility for conducting rescue operations.

1. After use, the DTL should be rolled up from the
bottom (the end that has the short loops).

2. First stow the bottom ladder loops by crossing
them to the center. Keeping the ropes to the
center, roll the ladder rung to the next ladder
rung.

3. Repeat the process until the DTL is in a nice neat
tight package.

4. Holding the hook in one hand let the DTL unroll to
the ground. There will be a step/rung/pole closest
to the hook attachment pole, insert the small rod
into the top small end of the pole.
