The Takuro tactical sit harness is a comfortable climbing harness designed with the needs of army mountain guides and alpine special forces in mind. It was designed to provide strength, functionality, and comfort in one harness.
The Takuroa waist harness uses three aluminium Slide Block buckles; one on the waist and one on each leg loop; the buckles can all be fully opened for quick and easy donning.
It uses a Center Fit construction with a floating waist pad that ensures the hip pad and belay loop can be perfectly centred for maximum safety. The waist belt has four large, stiffened gear loops, a rear low-profile loop, and four mounting points for gear carabiners (ie DMM Vault) or ice screw clips to give a large range of gear racking options
The waist belt incorporates molle strips that allow molle pouches to be mounted directly onto the harness
The belay loop uses an endless loop (construction with a Dyneema® core and polyamide sheath for increased strength and good abrasion resistance.
The harness can be combined with the Edelrid Cetana chest harness to create an EN 12277 D full body harness.
