In detail

The LADCARB VBSS Pole Ladder is a lightweight carbon fibre access system developed for maritime interdiction and tactical boarding operations, while remaining equally effective in urban environments. Built using advanced axial fibre laying technology, the ladder delivers exceptional strength with minimal weight, allowing operators to move quickly and work with greater control in demanding conditions.

Its modular design uses alternating rung sections to improve climbing efficiency during vertical movement, particularly in maritime VBSS scenarios. Strong yet flexible carbon tubes reduce stress on ladder-hook connections and provide precise handling, even when operating longer ladder configurations. Unique self-guided connectors ensure sections are assembled correctly every time, even under pressure.

Designed for operational versatility, the system can be configured for both surface and diving applications. Close-to-neutral buoyancy options, combined with adjustable weights or floaters, allow the ladder to perform effectively in marine environments. A wide range of compatible accessories, including tactical hooks, stand-offs, wire ladders and webbing ladders, enables the ladder to adapt to different mission profiles.

Tested in extreme conditions and certified to EN-BS 1147 standards, the LADCARB VBSS Pole Ladder is engineered for military, law enforcement and specialist tactical teams requiring reliable, low-weight vertical access equipment.

  • Rung length - 120mm
  • Rung spacing - 300mm

Applications

The longer sections with asymmetrical rung layout are suitable for maritime VBSS operations. Easy transportation and one man assembly/operation mean the ladder is suitable for urban warfare and rescue operations.
