The MM Basic sit harness comprises of the MM Basic Belt and Leg Loops connected with an auto-locking carabiner.
The MM Basic Belt Load is rated to 3,000 lbs/1360kg and features a tapered, 1000 denier Cordura reinforced front attachment loop and a parachute-style steel alloy slider bar buckle.
The belt attachment loop protrudes from the belt face, facilitating easy access for clipping with a locking carabiner or tying in with a rope. The belt webbing use tough 1.75″ wide nylon in a double layer with a sandwich of HDPE for stiffness; the extra stiffener means the belt easily supports heavy pouches or a sidearm without folding. The belt has a small low profile gear loops on both sides and a loop under the rear restraint point to attach the rear leg elastics.
The MM Basic Leg Loops are made with 3/16" closed cell laminated foam and are equipped with an anodized aluminium quick adjust buckle on each leg . The leg loops have auto block loops on each leg loop for clipping a prusik knot as an abseil / rappel back-up. The leg loops have rear elastics included.
This is the harness of choice of the USSOCOM for the TCCC CASEVAC system.
