The Petzl Falcon is one of three models in the Falcon range – the Falcon range are designed to be comfortable seat harnesses for suspended rescue operations. The Petzl Facon has a metal ring as the ventral connection point for optimal load distribution; it helps distributes the load evenly between the waistbelt and leg loops so ensuring stability and efficiency during use.
The Falcon is built to provide both comfort and mobility, combining a slim, 3D foam-padded, semi-rigid waistbelt with 3D foam-padded leg loops. This gives a good balance of low weight, support, and reduced bulk—ideal whether standing, moving, or hanging.
The waistbelt also has textile side attachment point that minimise bulk and weight when compared to metal side rings and are perfect for occasional use in its role as a rescue harness.
The Petzl Falcon uses Doubleback Plus self-locking buckles on the waistbelt and Fast LT buckles on the leg loops to allow the harness to be donned quickly and securely.
A rear buckle enables easy integration with the Top or Top Croll L chest harness, creating a complete, adaptable rescue system.
The harness has 5 equipment loops: two large rigid ones in front for easy access to gear and 3 smaller, flexible gear loops in the rear that will not interfere when wearing a backpack. The harness also has a rear attachment point and 2 slots for a gear carabiner (Petzl Caritool or DMM Vault)
