The Ultralight Pole Ladder (UPL) is a single-stile hook-and-climb ladder designed for maritime and urban access operations. Each section measures 1.7 m and uses moulded carbon fibre construction to reduce weight during transport and deployment.
The modular system can be configured up to 11 m using five ladder sections, a top adapter, single step, and 1.5 m wire ladder. Quick connectors and a two-action locking system allow sections to be assembled with minimal movement and noise.
The wire ladder section extends overall reach while keeping the lowest step closer to the ground during boarding operations. In maritime environments, the flexible lower section also helps reduce movement transfer between the craft and ladder in changing sea conditions.
Rubber-tipped standoffs provide clearance around the ladder for hand and foot placement during climbing.
An internal steel cable system inside the carbon poles controls flex under load and helps improve ladder stability during ascent.
The UPL system is also available in a junior configuration using shorter ladder sections without fixed stand-offs for confined and urban access points. Junior sections are compatible with the same accessories and connection system as the standard UPL.

The Wire Ladder will provide additional reach as well as increased operational safety. The RIB/Boarding craft will not be able to knock the ladder off its hold when it is riding over waves or choppy water.
