The Tendon Ambition 9.8mm is a durable rope with a high number of UIAA falls that is especially suited for training. The thicker sheath ensures that the rope offers more control in belay devices as well as offering increased durability.

In detail

The Tendon Ambition is a 9.8mm diameter single dynamic rope that is durable and offers predictable handling.   

 

This rope is in the range as a modern style, skinnier diameter workhorse at a competitive price point. It is durable for a 9.8mm rope and has a low impact force (7.4kN) for a hard-wearing single rope.  

 

The rope is available in both Standard and Dry (Complete Shield) forms, and the Complete Shield also increases longevity as it stops dirt from getting into the rope.  

 

The rope includes an embedded TeNOTE (RFID) microchip that allows for digital rope management, tracking of condition, and inspection history via the Tendon app.

 

The core and sheath of the rope is ultrasonically bonded in the last 15mm of the rope to prevent sheath slippage and ensure the ends of the rope do not fray. It also includes a middle marker.

 

Unusually, we can offer this in black as a result of our co-operation with Tendon on tactical ropes.  

 

It is certified to EN892 and UIAA 101.
