The Tendon Low Stretch Rope 9mm in black is a bespoke product that is probably the best specified thin static rope on the market. This rope is the only 9.0mm diameter static rope that meets the EN 1891 Type A standard – all others are certified to the lower Type B standard. Type A ropes must meet a higher strength requirement (22kN vs 18kN) plus have a higher knotted strength (15kN vs 12kN).
In addition, the rope has a UIAA approved dry coating on both the core and sheath fibres – this Complete Shield finish is nanotechnology process where particles of Teflon are applied to the rope fibres forming an almost impermeable layer to prevent penetration of water, dust, and other particles. This process greatly increases the lifespan of the rope.
The rope is flexible and retains it softness even after a long period of use.
The rope can be supplied in bespoke lengths and with terminations if required.
