In detail
The Tendon 9.0mm “A” static rope has a unique construction and uses cutting-edge rope technology to give a static rope that passes the EN 1891 Type A tests:
- A strength higher than 22kN with a falling mass of 100 kg (in comparison with the standard falling mass of 80 kg for type B ropes).
- The strength of the rope with knots exceeds 15kN for a period of 3 minutes without any damage to the core and the sheath (type B ropes are tested for 12kN for a period of 3 minutes).
The ropes include an embedded TeNOTE (RFID) microchip that allows for digital rope management, tracking of condition, and inspection history via the Tendon app.
The core and sheath of the Tendon military static ropes are ultrasonically bonded in the last 15mm of the rope to prevent sheath slippage and ensure the ends do not fray.
The rope is also UIAA certified
