C2R Visit

29 November, 2021

We were delighted to welcome the service users of the Climb2Recovery charity group recently, who organised a group visit to North Wales.

The visit included a to trip to the Indy Climbing Wall on Anglesey, where members benefited from some coaching from Chris, our Sales Manager,  a tour of the DMM Factory site and a tour around the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue base to see how it is run and the work from volunteers over the years.

Climb2Recover is charity that was set up in 2016 by Neil Heritage, to help support veterans who are wounded, injured or suffer from illness. Their mission is to offer climbing courses to veterans with the aim of creating new opportunities, as well as creating a support system for recovery and healing.

Since their origin in 2016, C2R have arranged a range of activities including Alpine training in Chamonix to beginners’ sessions in the UK and sports climbing expeditions in Spain. They also help veterans qualify as Rock Climbing Instructors.
